A newly rebranded company operating under the name SpaceX Super Intelligence is rolling out a unified subscription model that brings together several of its products - including X Premium, the Grok AI assistant, and the Cursor coding tool - into a single consolidated offering called "The X Subscription." The move is designed to draw in a broader base of paying customers by packaging multiple services under one plan at a competitive price point.

The strategy reflects the increasingly crowded landscape of paid artificial intelligence products, where SpaceX Super Intelligence is competing directly against well-established players such as OpenAI and Anthropic, among others. By combining its existing lineup into a single subscription, the company is betting that a bundled approach will prove more attractive to consumers than any one of its individual offerings could on its own.

What the Bundle Includes

Subscribers to the new X Subscription will receive access to a range of features spanning AI tools and social platform perks. On the artificial intelligence side, the bundle covers Grok, the company's AI-powered chat assistant, which supports voice, image, and video inputs, along with API access. Also included is Grok's agentic AI capability, which allows the assistant to carry out multi-step tasks autonomously.

In addition, the bundle incorporates Cursor, an AI-driven coding environment that has gained traction among software developers looking to accelerate their workflows. Rounding out the package are the standard benefits tied to an X Premium subscription, including the blue verified checkmark, access to creator monetization tools, and a reduced volume of advertisements on the platform.

Pricing Tiers and Usage Limits

The new subscription structure is organized into five distinct tiers, each offering progressively higher levels of AI usage and feature access:

• Free - Provides limited access to chat and agent functionality, with no monthly cost.
• Plus - Priced at $8 per month, this entry-level paid tier expands on the free plan's capabilities.
• Premium - Available at $30 per month, this tier is required to unlock access to the latest Grok AI models.
• Super - Priced at $100 per month, offering significantly higher usage allowances for power users.
• Ultra - The top-tier plan at $200 per month, intended for users with the most demanding AI usage requirements.

As users move up through the tiers, the caps on AI usage increase accordingly. The free plan is notably limited in what it offers in terms of chat and agent interactions, and accessing the most advanced Grok models requires at minimum a Premium-level subscription.

Existing Subscribers and the Transition Process

For those already paying for an X Premium+ subscription, the company has highlighted that the comparable tier within the new X Subscription bundle is priced at the same level or lower. This positions the transition as a financially neutral or even beneficial move for current subscribers who choose to switch over.

Existing users have two options available to them. They can choose to migrate to the new bundled plan by navigating to their subscription settings within the X platform, or they can opt to remain on their current plan without making any changes. The company has noted that the ability to upgrade will not be made available to all users simultaneously - it will be rolled out in stages. As a result, subscribers who are interested in switching should monitor their billing settings regularly to see when the upgrade option becomes available to them.
